With success comes greater face recognition from the masses. But for Gray, there's been some very impassioned American fans since the beginning, like the one that followed him around in Los Angeles during his first-ever U.S. tour in the early '90s.
He tells LAUNCH more about the story. "We were lying by the swimming pool in the Mondrian, at the end of it, with some ridiculous hangover, and he sort of walked in calmly, sort of walked around the swimming pool and presented me with this photo album which was basically me doing all the things I'd done in Los Angeles," he explains. "And this was when my first record had only just come out and I thought, 'If this is a taste of things to come, I'm in trouble.' So, it was like, 'Here you are buying some Fritos, here you are buying some potato chips.'"
