DJ Pooh co-wrote and was an associate producer of Friday, the 1995 film starring Ice Cube that launched the acting career of comedian Chris Tucker. 3 Strikes is a comedy that focuses on the problems of a man recently released from jail; Brian Hooks, David Alan Grier, N'Bushe Wright, and Faizon Love also star in the movie.
The soundtrack for 3 Strikes is scheduled for a Feb. 22 release and features songs from Snoop Dogg, Silkk The Shocker, C-Murder, Total, and Ras Kass.
DJ Pooh is a veteran hip-hop producer who has worked with King Tee, Ice Cube, Too Short, and others; he has also appeared in a number of Ice Cube's videos.
