Two Documentaries To Be Released On Anniversary Of Rapper's Death

(12/20/01, 7 a.m. ET) -- Eric Wright Jr., the son of late gangsta rap pioneer Eazy-E, is scheduled to release the documentary The Life And Times Of Eric Wright on DPG March 26, 2002, the seven-year anniversary of his father's death to an AIDS related virus. Ruthless Records, the label founded by the senior Wright in the mid '80s, announced that it also has a tribute to the hip-hop icon due out the same day.

Ruthless Records' Impact Of A Legend package includes a DVD containing 10 music videos, interviews, historical performances, 30-second samples of every song he recorded, song lyrics, Eazy-E karaoke tunes, an "in-depth" documentary, photo gallery, pc video game, collector's edition comic book, and biography. Also included is the EP, The Godfather Of Gangsta Rap, which will include eight new songs produced by Eazy-E producer Rhythm D. The package will retail for $24.98.
