The awards were presented Thursday night at the Hollywood Palladium by the Entertainment Industries Council Inc. in partnership with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse/National Institutes of Health .
The winner of the top prize for theatrical feature film was Fernando Meirelles' "City of God."
Wood was recognized for her performance as an out-of-control teenager in the 2003 film "thirteen." McEntire won for performance in a comedy series ("Reba"), and Krause won for performance in a drama series multi-episode story line ("Six Feet Under").
Thora Birch and Kelly Lynch won for performance in a TV movie or miniseries for "Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story."
"On Thin Ice," starring Diane Keaton , won for TV movie or miniseries, and the music video award was shared by Johnny Cash 's "Hurt" and Metallica 's "Frantic."
