Eve Speaks About Halle Berry's Nudity

(8/22/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Hot rapper/actress Eve says she would consider doing onscreen nudity, and she isn't mad that Halle Berry has been brave enough to do the same. Eve, whose third album is on the way, makes an appearance in the blockbuster hit XXX, and she'll soon be seen opposite Ice Cube in Barbershop.
When Eve was asked who her acting idols were, Berry was the first name that rolled off Eve's lips, and she backs Berry's Academy Award-winning decision to shed her clothes during a graphic love scene in last year's Monster's Ball.
Eve, who long ago quit working as a stripper, told LAUNCH that she might eventually show off her shapely body on screen. "I think I would. It depends on the role though, it depends on the role and the situation, and what the movie is about," she said.
As for Berry's role in Monster's Ball, Eve added, "I was not mad at that, I saw it. And I've had so many debates over this with people. But, I really wasn't mad about that. I was shocked, but I wasn't mad."
Barbershop opens in theaters on September 13, just weeks after Eve's new album, Eve-Olution, is released on August 27. The album's first single, "Gangsta Lovin,'" features Grammy-winning singer Alicia Keys.
