Fatboy Slim And U.K. TV Host Wife Separate
Yahoo! Music, Jan 23, 2003 10:00 am PST(1/23/03, 10 a.m. ET) -- Fatboy Slim and his wife of three-and-half years, Zoe Ball, have separated. The 39-year-old DJ-musician--whose real name is Norman Cook--married 32-year-old U.K. television and radio presenter Ball in August 1999. They have a 2-year-old son, Woody.
Ball's agent, Vivienne Clore said on Saturday (January 18) that the couple still hopes to save the marriage. "They have split for now. It is very amicable and they just want a bit of time to have a bit of breathing space," Clore said, adding that their son would spend time with both his parents.
Ball will likely live at the family's home in north London, Clore said, while Cook will continue to work on his latest album at their seaside house in Brighton on England's south coast.
Fatboy Slim's video for "Weapon Of Choice," featuring actor Christopher Walken was directed by Spike Jonze (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation) and won Grammy, MTV, VH1 and DanceStar USA awards in 2001 and 2002.
