Famed for their outlandish onstage costumes, Wayne Coyne and company have accepted the invitation from local newspaper The Oklahoma Gazette. The band is advertising for volunteers to participate in "The March Of A Thousand Flaming Skeletons," although everyone will be required to pay $25 to participate.
However, all those who are involved on the parade, which takes place on the weekend of October 26-27, will get to keep their costume and receive a commemorative T-shirt.
"The March Of A Thousand Flaming Skeletons is a symbolic procession glorifying the beauty of death and the boundless flame of love and life," the Flaming Lips explained.
Anyone wishing to take part can email deathmarchreservation@hellfireltd.com. All entrants must be 18 years of age.
