It's been six years since the release of Hill's solo debut the Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. The album received rave reviews and won five Grammys, but the former member of the Fugees hasn't released anything new except for the live album, MTV Unplugged, in 2002.
Rumors of a Fugees reunion CD heated up after the group reunited for the televised Dave Chappelle's Block Party last year, but Wyclef Jean has said that a group project would happen only after Hill's solo project is released.
Meanwhile, West has several new producing projects under his belt including work with Mariah Carey, Common and Twista. He's also directed a music video for John Legend's song "Ordinary People."
West has been working on his second album, titled Late Registration, which is due out this spring and will feature a collaboration with pop singer John Mayer.
