Gary Numan To Drive Through America

(4/15/98) - Electronic music pioneer Gary Numan, best known for his robotic early-MTV hit "Cars," is set to tour America for the first time in a decade, starting May 1st in Philadelphia.

The synth-pop artist is supporting several new releases. Numan's latest, The Mix is a collection of his greatest hits remixed by such artists as Information Society, Leather Strip and Spahn Ranch. The album is out April 21st on Cleopatra Records. An album of new Numan material, Exile came out February 10th, on Cleopatra as well; a song from that album, "Dark," was also featured on the soundtrack to the film Dark City.
