Erstwhile Spice Girl Geri Halliwell has gotten engaged to her Italian yacht tycoon boyfriend, Fabrizio Politi, after a whirlwind romance which has, per the most generous British press estimates, lasted just over a month.
"We are delighted to announce the engagement of Geri Halliwell and Fabrizio Politi," trumpeted a statement released by 19, her management company.
Despite the rapid rise trajectory of their relationship, it looks like the couple won't head down the altar with complete abandon...
"There are no immediate plans for marriage as the couple are enjoying their engagement," 19 said.
The 36-year-old Ginger Spice met Politi, 34, in a Florence nightclub in December and they have been inseparable ever since, enjoying paparazzi attention in Paris and the Maldives.
The duo has also been snapped more recently as a trio, with the couple spending quality bonding time in London with Halliwell's 2-year-old daughter, Bluebell Madonna.
