The last time Hoobastank played live was a run through the state fair circuit in the summer of 2005. Singer Doug Robb said he had mixed emotions about the experience. "As shows go, I would say most of them were pretty cool,” Robb said. “It's not hard to get a bunch of people who have been drinking beer and eating funnel cake all day to have a good time. Everybody's there just to kind of enjoy themselves, you know? So on that aspect, it was good, but it was a negative because we were all so tired. We got back and we needed to go in the studio and we were exhausted half the time."
Every Man For Himself follows up the band's double platinum 2003 effort, The Reason.
