"Dan and I live five minutes from each other in two neighboring communities, like the next freeway exit-type communities," Robb explained. "He lives in Calabasas. I live in a place called Agoura Hills and all the guys from Incubus are from Calabasas. Dan has known them from as far back as 12 years old, middle school."
Robb added that he, Estrin, and Incubus were part of the same local music scene. "There's not a whole lot going on in that suburb. It's kind of like the edge of L.A. We knew all the bands in the communities. There was Incubus and there was a band I was in called Sound-Off For Chesterfield in high school, and there was a band Dan was in called Idiosyncratic. We all knew each other and we had gone to each other's shows."
The Incubus/Hoobastank tour hits Seattle's Key Arena on Friday (April 12).
