Guitarist Dan Estrin told LAUNCH that he and singer Doug Robb staged the concert because they wanted to give something back to their hometown. "Myself and Doug, Doug our singer, he's from Agoura, and the band basically started in Agoura Hills and Calabasas," says Estrin. "We were practicing at Doug's parents' house when we first started out in Agoura or we'd practice at my parents' house in Calabasas. We just figured, you know what, why don't we help out and give back and do what we can."
Hoobastank has scheduled a September 30 release for their new, still-untitled, album--the follow-up to their self-titled breakthrough album that included the hit "Crawling In The Dark."
