Hoobastank Working On New Album For Possible December Release

Yahoo! Music, Mar 16, 2005 10:00 am PST
Hoobastank has been working on a third studio album expected to be released in December. According to an official online posting written by guitarist Dan Estrin on hoobastank.com, the group has been in the studio and at home writing songs for the follow-up to 2003's the Reason. Although a December release is the goal, the Los Angeles-based group won't make any promises. Estrin says, "We all want to be 100 percent happy with all the songs. None of us want to rush or force anything."

Meanwhile, Hoobastank plans to take a break this month before joining the Velvet Revolver tour on April 12 in San Diego. Dates are scheduled through mid-May.

Estrin says that the band plans to continue writing music on the road.
