Honda is not just selling tickets, though--it is also footing the bill for a big part of the tour's production costs. LAUNCH asked Incubus guitarist Mike Einziger and singer Brandon Boyd what fans can expect from the shows. "We really prefer to let our music speak louder than everything else, and as far as production is concerned we'd like to do something that really enhances what the music does on its own," said Einziger. "We're not going to have some huge exploding volcano and we're not going to have anything over the top."
"That's a good idea, actually," interjected Boyd. "That is a good idea," echoed Einziger, adding, "There probably will be some beautiful ocean backdrop backgrounds."
Einziger said the shows will be worth the affordable ticket price. "The show will go through many different changes during the course of it. I just think that somebody will see this show and walk away going, 'That was very well worth the money. I can afford it, and everybody's really happy.' I think people will really, really enjoy the performance."
Incubus has also customized six Honda Civic SI's (pronounced ess-eyes) to give away to fans via several promotions still to be announced. The paint job on the cars was designed by drummer Jose Pasillas.
