Jethro Tull Announces Summer Tour

Yahoo! Music, Apr 17, 2000 7:00 am PDT
(4/17/00, 7 a.m. ET) - Jethro Tull has announced the first dates of its 2000 North American tour -- it begins on June 6 at the Backyard in Austin, Texas, and currently runs through August 13 at the Stanley Theatre in Utica, New York. The group has also announced that there will be more shows added to the itinerary throughout the summer and into September.

Frontman Ian Anderson told LAUNCH that Jethro Tull does its best to keep it interesting for the fans: "It's never the same from tour to tour. We're always having fun with some different old songs. You know, we try and switch 'em around. It's just that when we come back to visit a town again a couple a years later, you know, we really try and change 80% of the set. So things go in and out of the show all the time, and you can't please everybody all of the time. We just have to try and make sure that we cover 'the big picture' of Jethro Tull and make sure we play a selection of the stuff."
