"I still get nervous," said Levesque, who will be performing the song at the annual July Fourth concert at the U.S. Capitol.
Levesque starred in the family friendly movie "Aquamarine" and shared the screen with Robin Williams in "RV."
She jumped at the offer to sing "The Star-Spangled Banner" at Tuesday's "The Capitol Fourth," which will air on PBS.
"There might possibly be tears in my eyes," she said. "I'm an American first and foremost."
Still, the biggest event on her calendar this year is her 16th birthday in December. "It's a huge year for me. I get a car."
