During the '70s, Jon Lucien became a popular figure as a jazz-tinged romantic song specialist. Lucien's deep, prominent baritone, his penchant for sentimental fare, and his suave, commanding personality and presence made him enormously popular on the cabaret/supper-club circuit as well as among fans of love ballads and similar material. After a long absence, Lucien returned in 1991 with a release that was very much what he'd done in his peak '70s years. Unfortunately, the response wasn't anywhere near what it had been before. Still, he soldiered on with releases including 1993's Mother Nature's Son, 1997's Endless Is Love and 1999's Precious Love. ~ Ron Wynn, All Music Guide
