Juvenile Unplugged On Chris Rock; New Projects On Tap
Yahoo! Music, Oct 8, 1999 4:00 pm PDT(10/8/99, 1 p.m. PDT) - Platinum-selling rapper Juvenile, born Terius Gray, has scheduled an unplugged appearance on an upcoming episode of HBO's Chris Rock Show. Juvenile recently cracked the top 10 of the Billboard 200 with his major-label debut, 400 Degreez. He will perform an explicit version of his hot single "Back That (Ass) Up" on Rock's racy late-night talk show.
According to a spokesperson, Juvenile will be joined by his clique the Hot Boys, and will also perform a snippet of his pal B.G.'s hit song, "Bling, Bling."
Last night (Oct. 7), Juvenile's label, Cash Money Records, showcased the forthcoming solo album by Hot Boys member Li'l Wayne during a special listening session at National Studios in New York City. Hip-hop journalists and aficionados mingled, ate chicken and waffles, and on champagne and Hennessy while listening to Li'l Wayne's debut set, The Block Is Hot, due out Nov. 3.
Music from Juvenile's forthcoming album, The G Code, was also played throughout the evening. The album is due out on Dec. 7.
In addition, the Cash Money Click will also take on Hollywood with their cinematic debut, Baller Blockin', a gritty straight-to-video movie that features every member of the New Orleans-bred posse. The movie and its soundtrack will bow by year's end.
