The Grammy-winning Destiny's Child alumna was felled by dehydration during a concert Sunday, collapsing onstage while performing in Lagos, Nigeria.
The songbird was performing in extreme heat during the West African nation's ThisDay Music Festival when she fainted and was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital to get checked out.
Publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said that Beyoncé Knowles' former sidekick has since been released and is currently in "good condition."
The 26-year-old singer was at the festival—on a bill with Shakira, Rihanna and UB40—to promote her sophomore solo album, Ms. Kelly, which last week debuted at number six on the Billboard album charts, selling 82,000 copies. The chart spot is already a personal best for Rowland, whose solo debut, Simply Deep, entered and peaked on the album charts at number 12 back in 2002.
Rowland is expected to return to the U.S. later today, where she will continue to make the promotional rounds. Though this time, perhaps, with a water bottle at her side.
