The shoes will make their debut in the March 4 issue of US Weekly magazine, which goes on sale Friday (February 21). Proceeds from the specially designed shoes will benefit both the Grammy Foundation, dedicated to music and arts education, and the Candie's Foundation, which is committed to educating teens about the consequences of teenage pregnancy.
Rowland and her group Destiny's Child are longtime supporters and spokespeople for the Candie's Foundation.
"Teaching our youth how to prevent teenage pregnancy is a must," said Rowland. "No one should have to give up their childhood because they didn't have the right information."
Rowland also told LAUNCH, "I just want to say to all of the females out there to make sure you are independent and strong, and have self-esteem and love yourself and respect yourself."
Rowland detailed her Candie's shoe with a large flower in front, nail-head detailing along the side, and her name burnished into the back of the wooden heel.
Carlton's shoe is actually a '70s-themed summer sandal detailed with an ankle wrap and peace doodle in the insole, while Eve designed a sexy evening shoe studded with Swarovski crystals.
Rowland and Carlton will appear at Macy's Herald Square in New York City on Thursday (February 20) at 11 a.m. ET to celebrate the launch of their Designer Candie's Collection. Fans will be able to meet the ladies, get autographs, and place orders for their own pairs of the limited-edition shoes.
