Missing part of the Killers' 'murder trilogy' appears online
Yahoo! Music, Oct 17, 2007 5:00 pm PDTA rare song by the Killers, "Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf," has appeared online as a live video recording.
The band played the track live, for what is believed to be the first time since they signed a record deal, on their recent U.S. tour.
The song has so far not been released, but is due to appear on the band's forthcoming B-sides and rarities compilation, Sawdust, which is released in November.
The track is the first song in what the band have described as a "murder trilogy."
Played together with "Midnight Show" and "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine"--two tracks from the band's debut Hot Fuss--the three songs tell the fictional story of a woman being murdered by her jealous boyfriend.
Jaunty and bass-driven, the track features a typically dramatic vocal performance from frontman Brandon Flowers.
