Linkin Park, P.O.D., Hoobastank Tour In January

Yahoo! Music, Nov 8, 2003 12:00 pm PST
Linkin Park and P.O.D. will hit the road together in the new year. LAUNCH has learned exclusively that Hoobastank and new band Story Of The Year will also be on the bill. The four acts will team up on a massive package tour that kicks off in early January and ends in late February. The final show is said to be slated for Little Rock, Arkansas, but more details, exact dates, and venues will be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, Linkin Park frontman Chester Bennington went even further, telling LAUNCH about the band's ambitious tour plans for next summer. "We're working on putting on a big summer show," Bennington said. "We do a show every year called Projekt Revolution and we're trying to take it to the next level. Hopefully, I'd like to get it up there and have it compete with Lollapalooza and Ozzfest, and bring some really great bands."

The January tour will mark Linkin Park's first full U.S. trek since the Summer Sanitarium 2003 dates with Metallica ended in August. The band will play the Smoke Out Festival in San Bernardino, California, on November 15.

P.O.D. plays in Las Vegas on December 2nd at a Spike TV event, and then in New York City on December 6.

Hoobastank is currently on the road with Andrew W.K. They play in and Johnson City, Tennessee, Saturday (November 8).
