Sonic Boom At The Brooklyn Bridge
Yahoo! Music, May 21, 1997 3:00 am PDT(5/21/97) - The Big Apple's Brooklyn Bridge will be the unconventional site of one of this year's most avant-garde music fests, Music In The Anchorage '97. The series of all-ages shows will take place at the Anchorage (located inside the base of the bridge) Thursdays-Saturdays, June 6-28th, and will include performances by Sonic Youth, Dmitri of Deee-Lite, Vernon Reid of Living Colour, Praxis, Scanner, DJ Spooky and a healthily ecclectic mix of visual artists, DJs and electronic acts. Music In The Anchorage is the latest project by Creative Time, a publicly-funded organization dedicated to turning New York into a vast canvas for the city's many artists.
