Los Lobos concert to benefit high school

All, that is, except for a picture of Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos.
"It's a calling," said Rosas, 53, a member of the famed East L.A. band. "It means we're on a mission from God to try to help."
Los Lobos will perform a benefit concert Oct. 14 to raise funds for the reconstruction of the school auditorium, which was gutted in the May 20 fire. There was an estimated $30 million in damage.
The band, whose original four members are all Garfield graduates from the early 1970s, will headline a bill with other Chicano artists including Tierra, Little Willie G of Thee Midniters and El Chicano.
Los Lobos' latest album is "The Town and the City."
Police have arrested an arson suspect, a 16-year-old Garfield freshman who lived within walking distance of the school. The student was reportedly angry at a teacher, said Principal Omar Del Cueto.
"This little mixed-up kid, God forgive him," said Rosas. "He's just too immature to realize the damage he's caused."
