Though D. Human and guitarists Pill and DeadGreg have been playing together since 1994, the Toledo, OH, band officially formed in 1996 when they discovered frontman Evvy Pedder. After adding drummer Knits and keyboardist Killer K., the band released a three-song EP called Candy Canes and Razor Blades in 1997.
In 2000, Lollipop Lust Kill self-released their full-length debut, Motel Murder Madness, after considerable success at gaining fans via the internet. Their sophomore album, My So Called Knife, released on Artemis Records in June of 2002, presents brooding songs of murder and mayhem inspired by revenge, the violent video game Doom, child abuse, and Stephen King's novel The Shining. The record even includes a cover of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus." ~ Charles Spano, All Music Guide
