A day after telling the judge that she was heavily medicated and suffering from a health condition, Donna D'Errico passed out in the bathroom of a Los Angeles courthouse Friday during an ongoing trial related to her recent divorce.
She later explained that her shortness of breath was due to a flare-up of asthmatic bronchitis, brought on by Southern California's even-lesser-than-usual air quality in light of the recent wildfires.
D'Errico and Sixx have been in court off and on since September to resolve the final division of their assets, with the proceedings being conducted in spurts to accommodate everyone's busy schedule. Their split was finalized in June.
The erstwhile Baywatch actress had requested a postponement Thursday, telling L.A. Superior Court Judge Thomas Trent Lewis that she wasn't feeling well and didn't yet have legal counsel.
Lewis denied the request and ordered her to represent herself in the meantime.
Shortly after Sixx's business manager took the stand Friday, D'Errico asked permission to go to the restroom. When she didn't return after 10 minutes, Lewis instructed a female court employee to go check on her.
The clerk told the court that D'Errico had passed out, after which reporters observed the former Playboy Playmate sitting on the bathroom floor in front of the sinks. Paramedics were called but D'Errico was able to leave the room unassisted, witnesses said.
Needless to say, she finally got her postponement, and the next court session isn't until Nov. 26.
D'Errico, 39, filed for divorce on Apr. 28, 2006, after nine years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason. She and Sixx, 48, briefly separated about five years before that during the tail end of her hard-rocking hubby's drug troubles, but D'Errico relented after the Mötley Crüe bassist completed a stay in rehab to kick his addictions.
Their custody issues have reportedly been resolved already, leaving just the financials in need of hammering out. In her divorce petition, D'Errico requested physical custody and joint legal custody of their daughter Frankie-Jean, now 6, with visitation rights for Sixx.
D'Errico also has a 14-year-old son, Rhyan, from a previous relationship. Sixx has three children with first wife Brandi Brandt.
