The accident forced the band to cancel a festival performance at the Street Scene in San Diego on Saturday, August 5.
Little information has been released on the accident, which occurred on Thursday, August 3, although Bryar is believed to be suffering third-degree burns.
According to reports, though the band were prepared to play the San Diego show, it was cancelled on doctor's orders. MCR were replaced in the running order by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.
