"Jay-Z, Cam'ron, and Russell Simmons should be ashamed of promoting music which verbally attacks innocent children," she told Newsday.
Bryan, who was romantically linked to Jay-Z in the past, called the rapper and Cam'ron cowards for referring to her daughter in songs aimed at insulting Nas. In Jay-Z's response to Nas's "Ether," he made a comment about leaving condoms on the child's baby seat; and in a recent mix tape freestyle "Hate Me Now Part II," Cam'ron threatened to kidnap Destiny and to "R. Kelly" her, a reference to the child pornography charges currently pending against Kelly.
Russell Simmons told Newsday, "I want to broker a peace between Jay-Z and Nas and set some rules and guidelines in the industry."
When LAUNCH asked Nas earlier this year if the battle with Jay-Z would have a negative effect on his daughter Destiny. "Right now, no, but when she gets older, I think it's gonna be very interesting to her," he said. "And I think she can be thankful to have such a blessed life and have such an interesting history on her parents, whether it be good or bad. It's something that she can always learn from and always tell her grandkids, and you know? It's gonna be something big. I don't look at it being negative."
