Naughty By Nature To Participate In Pelle Pelle Model Search

(3/7/02, 12 p.m. ET) -- Naughty By Nature members Treach and Vinnie Brown are scheduled to spend the weekend in Atlanta participating in the Pelle Pelle model search, and promoting their new album, iicons, due out April 23.
On Saturday (March 9), the group will be featured as models and performers in the celebrity fashion show at the South Dekalb Mall from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. They will play in the celebrity fundraiser basketball game from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Southeast Atlanta Recreation Center, and will perform at the celebrity afterparty at the World Bar.
In related news, the group decided to write a self-titled song for the album. Group member Brown recently spoke to LAUNCH about recording the song "Naughty By Nature" with R&B singer Carl Thomas. "It's really a jazzy vibe," he said. "We got the track from the Beatminerz. It's hip-hop, old school, bebop kinda vibe. Carl Thomas came with this hook on it that kinda has this Caribbean type vibe, and Treach is on that record. He takes it back to the days when hip-hop was bebop."
The album's first single, "Feels Good (Don't Worry About A Thing)," featuring 3LW, reached Number 15 last week on Billboard's Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles chart.
