Naughty By Nature's Treach Working On Solo Record
Yahoo! Music, Dec 5, 2002 12:00 pm PST(12/05/02, 12 p.m. ET) - Naughty By Nature member Treach plans to chronicle the highlights and downfalls of the last 10 years on his solo album in the works.
Among the topics to be discussed are what he was experiencing during and after his divorce from Salt-N-Pepa member Sandy "Pepa" Denton, how he handled the deaths of several friends, and the drama surrounding Kay Gee's resignation as the producer for Naughty By Nature. "It's like a real life, what was going on, like you being a fly on my wall through my life while I was going through those times," Treach said.
The record will be different from the Naughty By Nature projects. "Naughty is known for the party anthems, of course," Treach told LAUNCH. "Treach's album might be banned from a lot of sh-t. Radio. All types of sh-t. 'Cause my sh-t is street corner anthems."
Naughty By Nature released its last album, iicons, in May 2002 on TVT Records. The album includes the Number One rap single "Feels Good," a collaboration with 3LW.--Billy Johnson Jr., Los Angeles
