Treach To Play Naughty Role On NBC's 'Third Watch'

Music, Oct 16, 2002 1:00 pm PDT(10/16/02, 1 p.m. ET) -- Treach, the lead rapper from hip-hop group Naughty By Nature, will portray a career criminal who finally gets caught on NBC's drama Third Watch. Treach, who will appear on two episodes, is scheduled to finish taping his scenes on October 25. An air date for the segments featuring the New Jersey-bred artist has not yet been determined.
The rapper, who has also appeared in films Conviction, Jason's Lyric, and Juice, will be listed as a special guest in the opening credits, according to a spokesperson.
Treach is also planning to release a solo album. In 1991, Naughty By Nature issued its self-titled debut, which bore the hit "O.P.P." Subsequent releases include 1993's 19 Naughty III, 1995's Poverty's Paradise, 1999's 19 Naughty Nine: Nature's Fury, and 2002's iicons.
