Nelly Launches New Label And New Tour

Music, Jun 26, 2003 1:00 pm PDT(6/26/03, 1 p.m. ET) -- Grammy-award winning rapper Nelly and the St. Lunatics will kick-off an intimate 25-city tour titled Up Close & Personal introducing Murphy Lee on July 10 in Grand Prairie, TX. The rapper will play smaller venues with capacities that range from 2,000 to 6,000 instead of large arenas.
The tour will also double as a launching pad for Nelly's new label, Derrty Entertainment, which is distributed by Universal Records and its first artist, Murphy Lee of the St. Lunatics.
Lee's debut set, Murphy's Law, will be released on September 23. The first single from the set, "Shake Ya Tailfeather" featuring Nelly & P. Diddy, will also appear on the Bad Boy 2 soundtrack.
Murphy's Law was produced by Jazze Pha, Mannie Fresh, Jason Epperson, Wally Yaghnam, and Jermaine Dupri with guest appearances by Snoop Dogg, Lil' John, and Lil' Wayne.
