Nelly To Show Off Photography Skills In April Issue Of 'Playboy'

Music, Feb 21, 2003 6:00 pm PST(2/21/03, 6 p.m. ET) -- Rapper Nelly will be featured in the April issue of Playboy magazine--not for his hot and sultry lyrics, but instead for his work behind a camera. The rapper shot 10 rolls of film at Playboy's Santa Monica studio with January 2002 Playmate Nicole Narain last summer.
Narain shared her initial impressions of Nelly with Playboy.com. "He didn't walk in like some off-the-cuff rock star, like 'I'm the s--t,'" Narain said.
Nelly said that at first he didn't have the slightest idea what he was doing. "I made a few suggestions but nothing that she obviously wasn't already doing," Nelly said. "I left it up to her as far as whatever point in shoot that she was ready to declothe."
The model was ultimately able to figure out her cameraman's preference. "I think his favorite shots were of me turning around because he's a butt guy," Narain said. "I'd turn around and show him a little ass and he was, like, 'Hey, all right, now we're talking.'"
