On The Terrorist Attack On America

Yahoo! Music, Sep 19, 2001 3:00 pm PDT
(9/19/01, 3 p.m. ET) -- *NSYNC has released a statement regarding the September 11 terrorist attacks on America. Singer Lance Bass posted a message on the band's official website (nsync.com) on behalf of the entire group, saying: "My heart and the hearts of the guys break for those who have lost loved ones in this tragedy. Please know that my prayers are with you and the rest of our country in the coming days of recovery."

Bass continues: "It is important that we not resort to the same type of evil by mistreating innocent people because of our anger. I trust our government will find and punish those who are responsible for this atrocity, and give my total support to any decision President Bush makes."

Bass concludes, "Although we will never understand how anything this tragic could happen in our country, I believe God loves us and will get us through this. I am comforted by that fact. God Bless America, our home sweet home! 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.' Psalm 46:1"
