The celebrity guests will attend *NSYNC's show on Friday (July 27) at Sam Boyd Stadium, and then head to a private kickoff party. On Saturday (July 28), the celebrities will take part in a 12 p.m. PT press conference, followed by a "celebrity skills challenge" at the Thomas & Mack Center. The skills challenge will include a three-point shooting contest, relay races, and sumo wrestling, among other activities. It will also feature live musical performances from Milian and Thomas.
*NSYNC's Lance Bass explained to LAUNCH what else the skills challenge involves. "We have a big skills-challenge event where you split up your teams into different teams of three, and you go out and you do, like, a slam-dunk contest, a dunking booth, and you try to accumulate as much points as you can," he said.
A VIP auction will follow the skills challenge on Saturday, but Bass and groupmate J.C. Chasez added that the real fun will begin later that night when the stars take to the streets of Las Vegas. Bass explained, "We have a huge scavenger hunt all over Las Vegas."
Chasez added, "...in [Chevrolet] Suburbans..."
Bass continued, "...where the teams of three go in their Suburbans, and you have all these clues around Vegas...."
Chasez explained, "...you have to unscramble the riddle, find out what you gotta get, go get it, and then you have a certain time to get as many as you can."
Bass concluded, "You have a race to the end, to the final clue, so it's going to be very, very cool."
The basketball game on Sunday (July 29) will close out the weekend, highlighted by a live performance from Ludacris. Tickets for Challenge For The Children III are currently on sale through tickets.com. *NSYNC's new Jive album, Celebrity, comes out on Tuesday (July 24).
