P.O.D. Announces Headlining Tour
Yahoo! Music, Feb 23, 2004 4:00 pm PSTP.O.D. has announced that they'll headline their own theatre tour of 40 cities, beginning on May 1 in Denver, Colorado. Also on the bill will be Blindside, Italian Goth band Lacuna Coil, and Hazen Street, a punk "supergroup" made up of members of New Found Glory, Boxcar Racer, the Bad Brains, and Madball.
Blindside is the first and, so far, only signing to P.O.D.'s 3 Points record label. Their second album, called About A Burning Fire, arrives in stores Tuesday (February 24). P.O.D. singer Sonny Sandoval voiced his continued support for the group. "You know, we've always been friends with Blindside," Sandoval said. "We believe in those guys, big fans of their music, and you know, we always said, 'If we ever get the opportunity to make things happen for you guys, we'll do that, we'll keep you in mind.' And that's what we did."
P.O.D. is currently opening for Linkin Park on the Meteora tour, along with Hoobastank and Story Of The Year. The tour pulls into Dallas, Texas, Monday (February 23), and San Antonio, Texas, on Wednesday (February 25).
