Though the erstwhile Baywatch babe described her ongoing divorce proceedings from Kid Rock as "stomach turning," she said she knew that the split was "for the best."
"I really was swept up for a minute," Anderson wrote in a posting to her official Website. "Our family is very happy now, though, and definitely in the Christmas spirit."
The actor said she had been busy baking and decorating with her sons, 10-year-old Brandon and eight-year-old Dylan, from her marriage to Tommy Lee.
"I can't wait to take the kids snowboarding soon," the Canadian native wrote. "I miss the snow—that's one thing about California weather at Christmastime."
Anderson said that she had her children sort through their belongings and donate things they were no longer using to shelters to "make some room for Santa."
"It's a great tradition of ours," she wrote.
Last month, both Anderson and Rock (real name: Bob Ritchie) filed divorce petitions in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the demise of their four-month marriage.
The ex-couple wed several times last summer in ceremonies in Saint-Tropez, Detroit and Nashville.
Earlier this month, Anderson advised her fans against following in her footsteps.
"Don't get married on vacation!" she wrote on her Website.
The actor has stressed that she wants to resolve her split amicably for the sake of her children. "Kids don't know the difference between fact and tabloid…does anybody?" she wrote.
"Truth is, Bob is great in many ways—we just don't belong together...we mutually agree."
