The aggravated condition of Buckner's left wrist was made worse by the band's relentless touring schedule. He hopes to get the treatment he needs to be ready for two May radio festivals (May 12 in Las Vegas and May 19 in Chicago), European festival dates, and mainstage OzzFest 2001 dates.
Buckner said in a statement, "It's unfortunate that this had to happen. This is a huge disappointment for us--and I'm sure our brothers in Alien Ant Farm and Fear Factory--and no doubt to our fans. This condition is something that I've been struggling with since last year, and I hope to have this diagnosed, treated, and be back one hundred percent before OzzFest."
Fear Factory and Alien Ant Farm are still eager to tour and they're working on setting up shows in smaller venues visiting the cities in which the second leg of the Raid The Nation tour was to hit. When asked if they were fans of Papa Roach, Fear Factory bassist Christian Olde Wolbers told LAUNCH: "They've actually been big fans of ours. Musically, they're a young band. They've been around a while though. As a band, us, we like so much different music. They're a bunch of nice guys though. That's all that counts to me, you know?"
He added, "I know it would have been a good tour to be on because they have tremendous tour and radio and MTV and they have everything we don't have yet. So we were hoping to steal their fans and get some radio support."
An announcement about an Alien Ant Farm/Fear Factory tour is expected later in the week.
