Pearl Jam, Mos Def among Austin City Limits lineup

The Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam and Elvis Costello are among acts scheduled to perform on the public-broadcast music show "Austin City Limits," which begins its 35th year on October 3.

Others on the season lineup include Willie Nelson (performing with Asleep at the Wheel), Ben Harper, and Them Crooked Vultures (the newly formed supergroup of Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Led Zeppelin alumnus John Paul Jones and Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme).

For the first time, two hip-hop acts have been booked, Mos Def and K'Naan. "We've talked about it for a few years, and it finally came together," Austin City Limits producer Terry Lickona said of the expansion into hip-hop.
