Lady Gaga Wants To Ride Your Disco Stick, But Don't Mess With Her Teacup!!!

Since Yahoo! Music first showcased Lady Gaga in its emerging artists program last year, the Lady has taken over the world. That may be a slight overstatement, but it's safe to say she's had a huge impact on the pop charts. Her debut single, "Just Dance," hit No. 1 on the pop charts and was followed by another chart-topper, "Poker Face," while her album, The Fame, has climbed to the upper regions of the album chart.

We were lucky enough to snare the Lady for an exclusive performance of "Just Dance" and "Love Game," the latter which we're premiering for you now. It's the brilliant track in which the Lady sings the immortal words, "Let's have some fun / This beat is sick / I wanna take a ride on your disco stick." Check it out below.

As you saw and heard by watching that clip, Lady Gaga has once again delivered all the elements for pure pop perfection. "Love Game" passes the old dance-club test with flying colors. It's got a good beat and you can dance to it, and--as an added bonus--it has some clever double-entendre-laced lyrics.

One of my favorite things about Gaga is the fact that she doesn't give too much away about herself and maintains an air of mystery. Sure those dirty-minded individuals may think they know which "disco stick" she's referring to, but they can never be too sure. Maybe it's just that glowing scepter she's prancing around with in the performance. And then there's Gaga's identity. Research tells us that Lady Gaga was born Stefani Joanne Germanotta in New York, New York, but that's about all we really know about her. She's followed the fine tradition of such great stars as David Bowie and created an alter ego that's probably much more interesting than her real-life counterpart.

Even when Lady Gaga makes news, she manages to keep the mystery in tact. For example, the Lady recently made headlines for throwing a "teacup tantrum" at a restaurant in London's posh Metropolitan Hotel. It seems the Lady forgot her favorite teacup and saucer and then went on a frantic cab ride back to the hotel to retrieve her beloved china. When the cup and saucer were nowhere to be found, the Lady apparently went gaga on the restaurant's staff. The official comment from her camp, "Lady Gaga does not want to reveal anything about the teacup itself, but drinking ginger tea is very good for singers." Even when she creates a stir in public, she manages to retain the mystery. The moral of the story--Lady Gaga may want to take a ride on your disco stick, but whatever you do, don't mess with her teacup.

I think Lady Gaga--who, aside from laying down the dance club hits, plays piano and writes her own material--is more than the latest pop sensation. I think she has the potential for a long-term career. How about you?
