Flavor Flav is presently incarcerated on New York's Riker's Island for violating his parole by failing to appear at several mandatory probation meetings stemming from an incident when the rapper was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Flavor Flav was taken into custody when he appeared in court to pay fines for an unrelated traffic matter.
Group frontman Chuck D issued the following statement explaining why Public Enemy chose to move forward with the tour without Flavor Flav, "We couldn't turn our backs on our fans, so we felt this was the best thing to do." Public Enemy is touring in support of its latest album, Revolverlution.
