Coroner: OD Killed Quiet Riot's DuBrow

Quiet Riot was hushed by drugs.

Toxicology tests have confirmed that band frontman Kevin DuBrow died of an accidental cocaine overdose, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office, which released its official autopsy report on Monday.

The 52-year-old metalhead, best known for belting out "Cum on Feel the Noize," was found dead Nov. 25 in his Las Vegas home. Police said at the time that there was no sign of forced entry and they did not suspect foul play.

Those close to him said that DuBrow was in good health in the weeks before he died and his band mates requested that fans withhold their judgment about his demise until the coroner's report came back.

"I am already, within hours of this, having to deal with untrue rumors and speculation and that only adds fuel to that. There is a tendency for the subject of Kevin to incite flames on every board, and now is not the time for that," former Quiet Riot bassist Kelly Garni wrote.

The band's last album was 2006's Rehab, which DuBrow said at the time was all about "making the album that we wanted to make."
