Raekwon Acts In 'Black & White'

(2/18/00, 1 p.m. ET) - Raekwon flexes his acting skills in the forthcoming film, Black & White. Brooke Shields, Method Man, Mike Tyson, and Inspectah Deck also appear in the movie, which concerns the effect hip-hop has had on people of all ethnicities.

Raekwon told LAUNCH that he enjoyed the filmmaking process. "It was an experience that I had never had a got a chance to do before," he explained. "I want to be able to off-spring into acting, because I feel that I want to be able to try to do anything that's possible to create more of a visible life of Raekwon, you know what I mean?

"They called me down. They wanted me to do it. They said I did a good job. And, you know, to me, all that's a part of growing inside this business," Raekwon added. "That's what I'm working for, too. I want to be not just a rapper. I want to be everything."

Black & White is scheduled for a spring release. Raekwon also hopes to release the debut effort by his American Cream Team proteges this year.
