(11/22/02, 4 p.m. ET) -- Soul rock artist Martin Luther is preparing to release a 12-inch single and video for his song "Soul Assassinator." The video features cameo appearances from Wu Tang Clan member Raekwon and Mystic.

The track first appeared on Luther's independent album The Calling, released on his own Beyond Entertainment with partners LaMara Davidson and Jeff Alston.

The 12-inch is expected to be backed with the new song "Rebel Soul Music" on GoodVibe Recordings.

Luther intends to service the video to M2, Much Music, BET, and other video outlets.

Luther will perform at the Temple Bar in Santa Monica, California at 11:30 p.m. December 6.

Luther was one of the noted rock and soul groups profiled in the August 11 New York Times article "Hip-Hop Generation Grabs A Guitar." N.E.R.D., Cody Chesnutt, Res, and Santi White, were among the acts discussed.
