Fans Sending Messages To Former Guitarist Battling AIDS

Yahoo! Music, Jul 16, 2001 5:00 pm PDT
(7/16/01, 5 p.m. ET) -- Ratt fans have known for some time that original guitarist Robbin Crosby has been battling health issues including AIDS, and they've been sending him a large volume of get-well notes and other positive messages. Crosby, who's undergoing treatment in a Southern California medical center, told LAUNCH that he never could have imagined the impact he and Ratt had on people during the past 18 years (Ratt's self-titled EP came out in 1983), and he really appreciates the kind words.

"It's unbelievable how much mail I get and it makes me realize just how many fans there are, and how many there must have been to be this many still now, you know? They wrote me just to, you know, wish me good luck," he said. "You know, that's gotta make you feel good. It just warms your heart--[it] warms mine."

If you want to get a message to Crosby, you can send an email to former Ratt bassist Juan Croucier at cdecoy@aol.com. The two have stayed close friends throughout the years, and Croucier is more than happy to make sure Crosby gets anything his fans send him.
