Two of the members of 'N Sync are looking to expand their horizons--Lance Bass and Joey Fatone are set to star in the upcoming romantic comedy On The Line. According to Fox News, the Miramax film will feature Bass as a guy who falls in love with a stranger while riding on Chicago's famed el train, but there's no word yet on Fatone's character.
The Backstreet Boys kicked off their Black & Blue world tour 2001 Monday night (January 22) in front of more than 15,000 fans at the National Car Rental Center arena in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida (the first of three shows there). The production features plenty of pyrotechnics, a multilevel stage, and multiple video screens, as well as side-of-the-stage runways that enable the group to get even closer to their fans.
The first leg of the world tour will run through March 18 in San Diego, California, encompassing 36 shows in 23 cities. Beyond that, the group will tour overseas before returning to North America for a string of stadium shows in the summer, after which they'll conclude the tour with shows in the Pacific Rim, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
Krystal (Krystal Harris), the very first artist to be signed to the Backstreet Boys' still-unnamed label and the opening act on the group's current world tour, now has her own official website: krystalthesupergirl.com. The 19-year-old Indiana native with an amazingly powerful voice will also get another boost from the quintet since they have recorded a duet with her that will appear on her upcoming album, Me & My Piano.
Teen singing sensation Aaron Carter will guest star in an upcoming episode of the Disney Channel original series Lizzie McGuire. The episode, titled "Aaron Carter Is Coming To Town," will premiere on March 23 in conjunction with the Aaron Carter & Samantha Mumba In Concert special premiering on the Disney Channel March 30. Carter's platinum album, Aaron's Party (Come Get It), came out in September.
