Sets West Coast 'Lover's Rock' Tour Dates

(4/20/01, 10 a.m. ET) -- Sultry Anglo-Nigerian singer Sade is ready to bring her new CD Lover's Rock to the masses via a 30-date North American concert tour. The dates represent her first tour in seven years.

Thus far, only West Coast dates have been confirmed, with the tour kicking off July 14 in Vancouver. New dates will be posted on the singer's website, sade.com, as they are confirmed.

Last month, Sade was the subject of Testimony, a show on BET that focuses on compelling musical artists via music, interview clips, and video footage. During an interview Sade discussed various aspects of her life and career; including motherhood, why she has vowed never to return to Jamaica, and how her Nigerian father's death affected her ability to tour.

Confirmed dates for the forthcoming Sade tour are as follows:

July 14 - Vancouver, BC - GM Place

July 15 - Seattle, WA -Key Arena

July 17 - San Francisco, CA - Shoreline Amphitheater

July 18 - Concord, CA - Chronicle Pavilion

July 20 - Irvine, CA -Verizon Wireless Amphitheater

July 21 - Las Vegas, NV - MGM Grand

July 23 - Los Angeles - Hollywood Bowl
