Sex Pistols 'back in studio'

Yahoo! Music, Sep 26, 2007 3:00 pm PDT
The Sex Pistols have been in the studio together for the first time in around 30 years, according to reports.

The reformed punk legends are due to play a series of live dates together in November and have now added two more shows to the tour.

It has also been claimed that the group recently re-recorded "Anarchy In The U.K.," so it can be used in an upcoming video game.

The new version will apparently feature on "Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock," after recent sessions at London's Air Studios with producer Chris Thomas.

Confirming the news to Billboard, guitarist Steve Jones said: "I wasn't sure how it was going to turn out but it actually turned out great and I think everyone held their own.

"I like [Guitar Hero] because my friends' kids like it. And I like what kids like," commented Jones, without revealing if any new material was in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, the Pistols have added concerts at London's Brixton Academy and Manchester's MEN Arena to their November itinerary. Their tour dates are now as follows:

November 2007

08 09 12 Brixton Academy, London
17 MEN Arena, Manchester
19 Brixton Academy, London

The group also re-releases the infamous single "God Save The Queen" on October 8, to mark the 30th anniversary of its release.
