(12/04/02, 7 a.m. ET) - Jennifer Lopez does it, so does Britney Spears, and now even Eminem. But leaping from music to acting isn't a concern for Shakira.
The Columbian pop dynamo tells LAUNCH that even though she has some acting experience--she appeared in the Colombian soap opera El Oasis from 1994 to 1997--she has no plans to return to the screen: "I think I would be a really bad actress, to tell you the truth. I don't see myself doing that but, you know, you can never say, 'I won't drink from this water.' So, you never know what happens in the future, but for now I don't visualize it. It's not in my plans."
Shakira will instead make a follow-up to her multiplatinum English-language debut, Laundry Service, after she wraps up her Tour Of The Mongoose in 2003. The tour hits Europe this month, with dates in Barcelona, Spain, on December 10; Cologne, Germany, on December 12; and London on December 16. She brings the Mongoose back to North America on January 18 in Chicago.
